TOP FIVE FINISH FOR JENNA

Britain's top Senior Ice Skater JENNA McCORKELL has just taken seventh place overall in the prestigious Skate Canada Senior Grand Prix last weekend screened on British Eurosport and with a personal best in the short placing Jenna in 4th place, Carolina Kostner the only other European contender in the event and current European Champion and silver World medallist could only finish in 7th place after a poor skate in the short. Jenna dropped to 7th after an old foot injury affected her skate in the free however two weeks prior Jenna placed sixth place in The Finlandia Trophy in Finland. It was only two weeks prior to this that Jenna made top 5 in Obersdorf in Germany in two great perfomances banging out her triples consistently Jenna has now thrown down the gauntlet for next year's European Championships to her peers. SCOTTIE TAKES GREAT 3RD PLACE OVERALL IN BRITISH THUNDERSPORT GB1

Ireland's youngest Superbike rider Scott Kelly has just clinched 3rd place overall in the British Thundersport Superbike Series at Anngelsey in Wales at the week-end. Scottie who hails from Comber in Co.Down was competing in his first full season of the series and after a number of mechanical problems dogged the first races of the season Scottie picked up valuable points at Brands Hatch with his first podium. He followed this by two more in August and last week-end he secured yet another great podium to lift the valuable points that secured 3rd place overall out of 49 riders in GB1. He now looks forward to next season and AKR Promotions has just confirmed his first sponsorship for the new season...read full report soon...

RACE ACE DICKSON SIGNS UP!

In what promises to be a great year for racing AKR Promotions has just added another great-sportsperson-in-the-making to its growing list of clientele! Already James Dickson from Coleraine has proven he is ready to take on the best in Britain and win! The young 24 year old is no stranger to the podium and lifted no less than five Superbike titles in the ISB Superbikes Series taking a fantastic 3rd place overall in the 1000 cc Irish Superbike C'ships last season.

He hopes to impress those across the water next year when he competes in the British Superstock 600 series. This season James had already clocked up 3 Superbike wins until he crashed out in England and sustained a bad break on his right arm (he is still in plaster!) which took him out for the rest of the season but Dickson is extremely positive and upbeat about next season and AKR Promotions will be there to keep his growing fanbase up to speed!
