PROFILE
Lucy Blair is 13 years old and is one of Northern Ireland's up-and-coming young sportspersons. Winner of over 25 National Open & Club medals in her career so far, Lucy recently became one of the youngest members of the Northern Ireland Team that competed at the NISA Cup - Home Countries International in Deeside, Wales in May '08. Lucy trains in Belfast and Dundalk and in September 2008 became one of a very few skaters to qualify for The British Novice IJS Qualifier Series 2008.
ACCOLADES
In 2007 Lucy became the first ever skater to become a triple gold medallist at the NI National Open Championships in Belfast in May. She also took a further two medals in National Open events and was then awarded winner of the 'Best Girl' Category of the Castlereagh Sports Awards in recognition for her performance level at National Open events. In May 2008 she again took the NI National Open title for Gold Level 7 ladies.

CURRENT PROJECTS
In 2008 Lucy travelled over to Newcastle, England and met the cast of Dancing on Ice and mingled and chatted with Olympic legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean. She has just qualified for the next stage of Dancing on Ice - Make me a Star!
Lucy is available for shows, exhibitions and rink openings and has extensive experience in this field. She is currently in training for futher tests and qualification for the British Championships 2009. In June she travelled to Belgium to train with World and Olympic Master Coach - Vera Vandeceyve. |
